OUR MISSION:
THE BUILD A NETWORK TO UNITE NYSOSDIA AUTHORS WHOSE
LITERARY ACHIEVEMENTS PROMOTE A POSITIVE IMAGE OF ITALIAN AMERICANS AND THE
ORDER SONS AND DAUGHTORS OF ITALY IN AMERICA.
Membership is open to all Published Authors who are
NYSOSDIA members in good standing.

As of January 2026, The Celebrated Authors of NYSOSDIA consists of twenty-nine (29) published writers who are members of The Order and are prominent in a variety of genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and drama. Our backgrounds and our lives are diverse but the one thing we have in common is the desire to embrace our Italian Heritage and Culture. We work to foster a positive image and appreciation for Italian American heritage through writing and community events. We organize and participate in local lodge events and celebrations to bring members together. Members are OSDIA Literary Award Recipients and have been featured in The Italian American Magazine and The OSDIA Golden Lion Periodical.
WHOSE WHO IN
THE GROUP:
PATRICIA RISPOLI EDICK is the Chair. She joined the Order Sons and Daughter of Italy in America in 2002. Patricia is a Past President and Current Officer of The Giovanni Caboto Lodge #2372. Her Grandparents Emigrated to America in the early 1900’s. They came from Naples and Palermo in search of the American Dream. Ms. Edick is a Published Author of Books, Short Stories and Poetry. She is a member of The Long Island Writers Guild.
ROBERT SAVINO is Co-Chair. He is a longstanding member of The Constantino Brumidi Lodge#2211. Robert was Suffolk County Poet Laureate from 2015 to 2017 and an Oberon Poetry Prize Winner. Mr. Savino is an Editor and an Author of two bilingual collections of Poetry in addition to multiple Poetry Books.
